Elba Island
Your vacation in the Tuscan Archipelago.

According to legend, Venus, the goddess of beauty, emerged from the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, and from her diadem she lost seven pearls. These pearls gave rise to the seven splendid sister islands that today form the Tuscan Archipelago.
The queen among them is the Island of Elba, called by its inhabitants the "whale's tail" and the "sardine's head," because it is the smallest among the major islands and the largest among the minor ones. It spans 223 square kilometers, divided among seven municipalities (Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro, Capoliveri, Campo nell’Elba, Marciana, Marciana Marina, and the new municipality of Rio, formed by the merger of Rio nell’Elba and Rio Marina), with a total of approximately 33,000 inhabitants. In addition to these residents, thousands of tourists and visitors arrive on the island from all over Italy and the world throughout the year to enjoy its Mediterranean beauty, its picturesque views, its colors, and its tranquility.

Sweet is to shipwreck in this crystalline and limpid sea, to explore breathtaking seabeds and submerged wrecks, to be carried away by the winds, to bask on beaches of fine sand and white gravel, or on those of smoothed cliffs, to cool off in the shade of pine forests and be enchanted by a sunset or a full moon over the sea.
Summer is the ideal season for those, young people, couples, families, solo travelers and groups alike, seeking a privileged destination to spend a unique stay, full of fun and relaxation, but also culture, sports, and tradition. Hospitable and wild at the same time, the Island of Elba offers a wide and diverse range of tourist offerings. Not just sea and beaches, therefore, but also excursions along trails suspended between sky and sea, diving into a unique Mediterranean scrubland or crossing old mines: ancient and suggestive paths to explore on foot, on horseback, on a donkey's back or, for enthusiasts, on a mountain bike or enduro motorcycle. In summer evenings, Elba dresses up for festivities, lighting up with lights and filling its streets with music and joy: white nights, concerts, DJ sets, shows, fireworks, night swims, craft markets, festivals, fairs, and further culture, art, sports.
The Island of Elba is also a land rich in history, culture, and memory. From the Etruscans to the Romans, from the Medici to Napoleon, passing through Spanish rule and surviving the two world wars, Elba preserves precious memories and testimonies of its past and a present that has much to show and tell.
Elba is a land of fishermen and farmers: scents and flavors of tradition spread from kitchens and cellars, through the streets of villages and among the riggings of boats, offering a tantalizing and surprising gastronomic experience that blends the best island tradition with influences from the mainland.
The tourist beauty of the Island of Elba does not end with the beach season. When the lights dim, the noises fade, and the beaches empty, Elba offers its most magical atmosphere. Autumn, winter, and spring are indeed the ideal times for those who desire a "slow" tourism experience, away from the summer frenzy, immersed in peace and tranquility, discovering the authentic island.
In October and November, the air is filled with the scent of must and new wine, with chestnuts enjoyed in a mountain setting overlooking a sea with silver reflections. At Christmas, streets light up, hearts warm, squares and churches resonate with songs and festive choirs, entertainment for adults and children alternates with traditional living nativity scenes. Fireworks, light shows, and music celebrate the arrival of the new year, with events lasting until Epiphany, when not all parties are taken away. In spring, days lengthen and nature awakens, causing the island to bloom, preparing for the beautiful season with various initiatives and events that take advantage of the mild weather to welcome and satisfy residents and visitors.
Welcome to the island of Elba, your little corner of paradise.
